Dr. Manki Min Cyber Lab
Cybersecurity, applied cryptography and secure distributed systems research at Louisiana Tech University.
Led by Dr. Manki Min, our lab at Louisiana Tech University works on keeping systems, data and people secure: post-quantum cryptography, blockchain consensus, authentication, insider threat detection and the optimization of networked systems. Our members are Ph.D. students in Cyberspace Engineering and Computational Analysis and Modeling.

Research areas
Post-Quantum Cryptography
Supersingular isogeny-based hash functions and symmetric encryption, and how to keep blockchains secure once quantum computers arrive.
Blockchain Consensus
Lightweight, scalable consensus protocols and hash structures for blockchain systems, and their security against quantum adversaries.
Authentication
Hash-based, multi-factor and biometric (ECG) authentication, including unattended, on-demand access without cumbersome logins.
Insider Threat & Anomaly Detection
Detecting compromised user accounts, insider threats and fraud in sensitive systems such as medical image information systems.
IoT & Physical-Layer Security
Physical-layer secret key generation and lightweight hash functions for resource-constrained devices.
Network Optimization
Design and analysis of optimization techniques and heuristics for network topologies, from wireless sensor networks to evacuation planning.
CS & STEM Education
Technologies and teaching methods that improve computer science and STEM learning.
