Dr. Miraz Uz Zaman
Ph.D. Computational Analysis and Modeling
Graduated 2023 · Now: Data Scientist II, SMC³
Biography
Dr. Miraz Uz Zaman earned his Ph.D. in Computational Analysis and Modeling at Louisiana Tech University in 2023, along with an M.S. in Computer Science. As a graduate research and teaching assistant in the lab, he developed blockchain consensus mechanisms, a hierarchical hash structure for generating hash codes for structures of arbitrary size and shape, and isogeny-based hash functions for the post-quantum era.
After graduating he worked as a Research Data Scientist at InfoBeyond Technology on anomaly detection in energy systems, reinforcement learning and computer vision. He is now a Data Scientist II at SMC³.
